A driver finds himself between life and death after leaving the road in Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, in Montérégie, Sunday evening.
The accident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on Rang Saint-Simon in this municipality located about fifteen kilometers from Saint-Hyacinthe.
The driver, a man in his fifties, was alone in his vehicle when he left the road and ended up in the ditch, explains Ève Brochu-Joubert, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ ).
Seriously injured, the man was transported to hospital where he is fighting for his life, she said late Sunday evening.
A patrol officer specializing in collision investigations from the SQ was dispatched to the scene to better understand the circumstances of the tragedy and analyze the scene.
