Mont Sainte-Odile Intermunicipal Tourist Office

Pierre Aubry (Deputy Mayor of the city of Rosheim) is pleased to tell us about the women’s Tour de France whose arrival will take place in the heart of the Romanesque city of Rosheim!

Pierre Aubry will also present the Romanesque house also called Pagan House which is worth visiting.

The Roman House, built in 1154, is one of the oldest examples of medieval civil architecture in Alsace. Its square plan, its bossed sandstone stones and its small openings give it the appearance of a fortified tower reminiscent of the fortified castles of the Middle Ages. Classified as a historical monument since 1922, restored in 2000-2001, the Maison Romane welcomes you by reservation to tell you about its origins and life at the time of its construction…

Program of the Intercommunal Tourist Office of Mont Sainte-Odile

You will also have the opportunity to hear him tell us about the program of the Intercommunal Tourist Office of Mont Sainte-Odile

For example :

The Romanesque church of Saints Peter and Paul, which is more than a vestige, history has given a real character to Rosheim, a stopover on the Route Romane d’Alsace. This 12th century church is the finest example. Romanesque art and its stylistic influences are expressed magnificently, with its sculpted bestiary and ornate capitals. This monument is thus the most complete and the most typical of Alsatian Romanesque architecture. Why not visit this marvel of history during your visit to our region?

Combining folklore and gastronomy, the event will honor Alsace and its emblematic cheese!

An Alsatian specialty revisited by our chef Emmanuel Bronner. All accompanied by wines from the hillsides of Rosheim.

Folk dances by the Obermodern group will liven up part of the evening, until 9 p.m., before a large popular ball with the local Golden Sound orchestra.
