There is a slightly hidden door nicknamed “Gate of Paradise”. It would have been a passage for illegal immigrants entering the city.

Today, Monpazier is a perfectly preserved and restored model bastide. It is a paradise for craftsmen who have settled there and every year in the spring, a crafts market takes place on the Place des Angles. Frédéric Lemont, the editor-in-chief of the magazine Edition Périgord, has his favorite the stained glass artist, Emilie Castanier and his shop “the soul and the wings”
