During his speech on Tuesday, November 9, Emmanuel Macron did not only mention the health crisis. He particularly hoped that Pôle emploi examines the 300,000 offers which do not find takers and the unemployed who do not demonstrate an active job search. The government therefore wishes to strengthen controls: 25% more in the next six months.
With his advisor, an unemployed person must first establish what is called a reasonable job offer based on his skills, place of residence and salary. After two refusals, the job seeker is liable to a sanction: one month minimum radiation. A check is made by the advisor and, if necessary, a second is executed by a specialized agent. There are 600 at Pôle emploi and check whether the unemployed person responds to offers and goes to interviews. 400,000 checks were carried out in 2019, with 15% penalties for failure to seek employment. Less of 1% write-offs are linked to the refusal of a job offer.
