Connor Hellebuyck blocked 23 shots en route to 30e win on Monday, helping the Winnipeg Jets win 3-0 against the Washington Capitals.

Hellebuyck reached the 30-win plateau for the fifth time in his career.

He has four shutouts this season and 36 in his career.

Kyle Connor, Neal Pionk and Alex Iafallo were the scorers. Connor leads the Jets with 27 goals this season.

Winnipeg responded well after being shut out 5-0 on Saturday in Vancouver.

The Capitals let their only numerical superiority slip away. They had scored in such a context for seven consecutive games.

The Jets’ Gabriel Vilardi missed a sixth straight game with an upper-body injury.

TJ Oshie was back in the opposing team after a seven-game absence (upper body).

Charlie Lindgren made 26 saves for the Capitals, who began a five-game road trip.
