Sam Reinhart collected his fifth career hat trick to lead the Florida Panthers to an 8-4 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday night.

Mason Marchment scored two goals and had four assists en route to a fourth straight win for the Panthers.

Aleksander Barkov, Owen Tippett and MacKenzie Weegar also hit the mark. Reinhart was also credited with an assist.

Anton Lundell had five assists, moving up to third in rookie scoring this season with 22 points.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 32 shots for his 23rd win of the season. It came at the expense of his former team with whom he played seven seasons.

Twice Patrik Laine, Gustav Nyquist and Emil Bemstrom were the scorers for the Blue Jackets.

Elvis Merzlikins blocked 18 of 25 shots he faced. Joonas Korpisalo took over in the third period and made 14 saves.

Blackhawks beaten 3-1 by Canucks

Jaroslav Halak made 20 saves, Brock Boeser had 12and net and the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 on Monday.

Alex Chiasson and Luke Schenn were the other scorers for the Canucks, who had lost four of their last five games.

Chiasson was competing in a 600and regular season game.

On Saturday, Vancouver had shot just 15 times at Calgary, losing 1-0 in overtime.

The Canucks’ next game is Tuesday in Nashville.

Connor Murphy scored for the Hawks, while Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 29 shots.

Chicago was without captain Jonathan Toews for the second straight game due to a concussion. The club has only one victory in seven games.

Auston Matthews scores hat trick in Leafs win

Auston Matthews scored a hat trick and the Toronto Maple Leafs earned their fourth straight win on Monday, beating the New Jersey Devils 6-4.

Jason Spezza, Mitch Marner and Ilya Mikheyev scored the other Leafs goals.

Pavel Zacha, Nathan Bastien, Jesper Boqvist and Andreas Johnsson replied for the Devils, who were losing a fifth straight game.

New Jersey Devils head coach Lindy Ruff missed that game and will also miss the next one following the death of his father.

Leeson Ruff died Friday at a hospital in Warburg, Alta. He was 88 years old and sick. Deputy Alain Nasreddine took over.

He also came on as a relief to Ruff for three games in December and January, when the head coach tested positive for COVID-19.

Red Wings save themselves with overtime win

Jordan Oesterle scored 2:11 into overtime Monday to give the Detroit Red Wings a 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks.

Dylan Larkin had a goal and an assist to help the Red Wings win a second game in their last six meetings. Alex Nedeljkovic blocked 14 shots in the win.

Rickard Rakell is the only member of the Ducks who has flashed the red light.

John Gibson made 26 saves for the Ducks, who had won their last two games.

In overtime, Oesterle fired a pass from Larkin and scored for the first time in a Red Wings uniform.

Senators win in overtime against Oilers

Tim Stutzle ended the debate in overtime and the Ottawa Senators won 3-2 against the Edmonton Oilers on Monday.

Stutzle lodged the puck in the top corner at 4:22, beating Mikko Koskinen.

Thomas Chabot and Nick Paul also hit the target for Ottawa, which was able to count on 37 saves from Matt Murray.

The Senators had lost their last two games.

Connor McDavid and Darnell Nurse had the goals for the Oilers, who were looking for their fifth straight win.

Koskinen stopped 28 shots.

Thus ended a four-game home stint for the Senators. They’re going to visit the Islanders on Tuesday, and then it’s their side’s All-Star Game break.

For the Oilers, the bye will begin after a game in Washington on Wednesday.
