Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 25 pucks for his first shutout of the season, NHL leading scorer Nikita Kucherov had a goal and an assist, and the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Dallas Stars 4-0 on Monday night .
The Lightning ended a four-game losing streak.
Anthony Cirelli scored twice and Luke Glendening also scored in the win. The Lightning lost 8-1 against these same Stars on Saturday in Dallas.
Jake Oettinger blocked 19 shots for the Stars.
Vasilevskiy made a superb save against Tyler Seguin, positioned in the left circle, with 11.8 seconds remaining in the second period. The goalie now has 33 shutouts, including six against the Stars. His record is 2-3-0 since his return to play following back surgery.
Kucherov extended his streak of games with at least one point to 10, opening the scoring at 7:47 of the first period.
Glendening and Cirelli scored their goal in the third period.
Stars center Joe Pavelski’s streak of games with at least one point ended at nine.
Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman became the team’s third player, as well as 383e of the NHL, to play 1000 games in the regular season. A ceremony took place for the occasion, before the start of the match.

The Coyotes defeat the Capitals 6-0
Nick Schmaltz scored twice, Connor Ingram blocked 26 pucks, and the Arizona Coyotes beat the Washington Capitals 6-0 Monday to become the first team to defeat the last five Stanley Cup clubs consecutively.
Since a loss to the Blues on Nov. 22, the Coyotes have defeated the Vegas Golden Knights, Tampa Bay Lightning and Colorado Avalanche, then got their revenge against St. Louis.
The Coyotes capped the streak with a dominant performance against the 2018 champions, posting the third 5-0 first period in organization history and their first since 1986.
Logan Cooley, Michael Carcone and Schmaltz scored in the first period to chase goalie Darcy Kuemper out of the game. Schmaltz then scored against Charlie Lindgren and Jason Zucker finished the home favorite’s five-goal first period.
Nick Bjugstad was the other scorer for the Coyotes, who posted their first five-game winning streak since the 2018-19 season. Clayton Keller had three assists.
The Capitals left forward Evgeny Kuznetsov on the sidelines due to a poor performance Saturday against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Flyers defeat the Penguins in overtime
Sean Couturier scored at 3:55 of the overtime period and the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 on Monday.
Tyson Foerster scored the goal in regulation for the Flyers, who won the two consecutive games between the two clubs. On Saturday, they triumphed 4-3 in Pittsburgh when Couturier scored the only goal of the shootout.
It didn’t go to a shootout this time, as Couturier put the finishing touches on a two-on-one with Travis Konecny, beating Alex Nedeljkovic with a one-timer.
Sidney Crosby became the Penguins’ all-time leading scorer against the Flyers when he scored in the first period.
The Penguins captain also scored during a two-on-one sequence started by Jake Guentzel with 46 seconds left in the first period.
Crosby scored 54 goals and totaled 125 points in 85 games against the Flyers. He thus overtook Quebecer Mario Lemieux as best Penguin against the other Pennsylvania club.
The Penguins have still lost five of their last seven games and seven of their last 10.
Carter Hart and Nedeljkovic made 31 saves in the match.

Jets beat Hurricanes 2-1
Nikolaj Ehlers scored a goal and an assist to help the Winnipeg Jets defeat the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1 on Monday.
Laurent Brossoit was solid in front of the Jets cage, stopping 42 of the Hurricanes’ 43 shots.
Kyle Connor also scored a goal and had an assist. Mark Scheifele had two assists in the victory.
Martin Necas scored the Hurricanes’ goal and Antti Raanta blocked 20 shots.
It was the last of four straight home games for the Jets, who finished their time at home with two wins.
The Hurricanes cut the lead to 2-1 with 51 seconds left in the second period. Necas was credited with the goal, as Jets defenseman Dylan DeMelo accidentally sent the puck into his net. Jalen Chatfield assisted on Necas’ goal.
Ehlers made it 2-0 for the Jets when he completed the passing play between Connor and Scheifele.
The Hurricanes led 12-0 in shots before the Jets opened the scoring with only their second shot of the game. Ehlers passed the puck to Connor, positioned alone in front of Raanta, and he threaded the needle at 16:58 of play in the first period.
