Sidney Crosby broke the tie in the third period with his 18e goal of the season and the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-3 on Monday.

Crosby also had an assist to pass Mark Recchi in the 13the highest scorer in NHL history with 1,535 points.

The Penguins blew a three-goal lead, but rallied to record their third victory in their last four games.

Jake Guentzel scored his 14e campaign net for the Pennsylvania club. Evgeni Malkin and Reilly Smith also hit the target. Valtteri Puustinen and Marcus Pettersson had two assists.

Alex Nedeljkovic blocked 24 shots to help his team recover from a shootout loss to the Maple Leafs on Saturday in Toronto.

Ryan Hartman, Jake Middleton and Vinni Lettieri responded for the Wild, who scored three goals in less than 10 minutes of play split between the second and third periods.

Filip Gustavsson made 26 saves. Head coach John Hynes chose him over Marc-André Fleury, who was perhaps on his last visit to Pittsburgh, where he won three Stanley Cups in 13 seasons. The crowd also chanted his name several times during the first two periods.

A 4-3 win for the Ducks

Adam Henrique scored a 10e goal this season and the Anaheim Ducks won 4-3 against the Detroit Red Wings on Monday.

Radko Gudas, Pavel Mintyukov and Troy Terry were the other scorers for the visitors.

Anaheim won a second game in a row, after five losses in a row.

Alex DeBrincat scored twice for the Red Wings, beaten in their last three meetings.

The other goal came from Jeff Petry, author of a first goal this season.

Dylan Larkin was back in action, nine days after losing consciousness following a hit.

He had an assist on DeBrincat’s second goal to make it 4-3 with 2:29 left in the third period.

The Red Wings captain received the all-clear from team doctors on Sunday.

Larkin was injured in the upper body on December 9 when hit in the head and neck area by Mathieu Joseph of the Ottawa Senators.

Larkin lost consciousness for a while on the ice, before leaving on a stretcher. He regained consciousness and was able to get up, but he needed help to get to the locker room.

Larkin has 11 goals and 26 points this season in 25 games.

Duchene scores a double in a Stars win

Matt Duchene scored twice before assisting on Thomas Harley’s overtime goal Monday as the Dallas Stars handed the Seattle Kraken a 4-3 loss.

Harley ended the debate 2:16 into the overtime period.

Jason Robertson was the other scorer for the Stars, who are 3-0-1 in their last four games.

Dallas will host the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday evening.

Eeli Tolvanen created the deadlock with 21.8 seconds remaining in the third period.

Tomas Tatar and Matty Beniers each had a goal and an assist in a losing cause.

Seattle has only won twice in 12 meetings (2-6-4).
