Wild win 7-4 over Red Wings

Rookie Matthew Boldy scored his first career hat trick, along with an assist, to lead the Minnesota Wild to a 7-4 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Monday.

Joel Eriksson Ek, Kirill Kaprizov – twice – and Ryan Hartman also flashed the red light for the Wild. Mats Zuccarello has three assists for the Wild who have won their last six home games.

Dean Evason’s squad have gone 11-1-1 since Jan. 6.

Kaapo Kahkonen made 29 saves for the win.

Dylan Larkin, Gustav Lindstrom – with his first of a career –, Lucas Raymond and Sam Gagner scored for the Red Wings. Michigan’s squad came within a goal of the Wild with 1:46 to go.

Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 18 shots for the Red Wings.

Mitch Marner gets his 400and career point in a Maple Leafs win

Mitch Marner scored a goal and had two assists as the Toronto Maple Leafs snapped a two-game losing streak with a 6-2 win over the Seattle Kraken on Monday.

Marner became the second player from the 2015 auction to reach 400 career points, joining Connor McDavid in the select club. He has 22 points in his last 11 games.

Alex Kerfoot, Michael Bunting, David Kampf, Ondrej Kase and Jake Muzzin also hit the mark for the Maple Leafs.

Jack Campbell made 23 saves in the win.

Calle Jarnkrok and Jared McCann rocked the ropes for the Kraken.

Philipp Grubauer allowed 3 goals on 11 shots before being replaced by Chris Driedger, who stopped 11 of the 14 shots he faced.
