The 14th day of Ligue 1 confirmed the hierarchy at the top of the classification. The Parisian French champions provided the essentials by winning in Lorient, Sunday November 6, just like Lens in Angers, Saturday November 5. Saturday evening, Ajaccio signed a resounding success against Strasbourg by scoring four goals in the space of 15 minutes. In the race for Europe, Monaco and Nice have also won.

Paris thanks Neymar, Lens does not let go
Where would PSG be without Neymar this season? A rhetorical question, of course, but the Brazilian still helped seal an important victory for the French champions on Sunday in Lorient. Scorer (0-1, 9th) then decisive passer on the goal of Danilo Pereira (1-2, 81st), the Parisian number 10 has, once again, displayed all his talent. The statistics in all competitions for “Ney” are also sensational this season: 18 games played, 15 goals, 12 assists… In Ligue 1, he is even decisive every 50 minutes. The Brazilian’s best start to the season with Paris, without a doubt, and an important contribution to one of PSG’s best unbeaten streaks (no defeat in the last 30 games in all competitions with 23 wins and seven draws). The only scare of the evening for PSG (and for the French team, a few days before the World Cup), the early exit of Kylian Mbappé, embarrassed with adductors. Parisian coach Christophe Galtier, however, was reassuring, simply referring to “muscle fatigue”.
For their part, the Sang et Or secured their place as runners-up by signing a fourth success in a row at Angers (1-2). Lens remains five lengths from Paris.
Monaco and Nice digest their qualification well
Three days after their qualification for the knockout stages of the Europa League and the round of 16 of the Europa League Conference, Monaco and Nice went on to play in the league. ASM was able to count on a gem in the top corner of Aleksandr Golovin to open the scoring against Toulouse (0-1, 46th), before Breel Embolo made the break (0-2, 60th). On the Nice side, the deflected strike of Sofiane Diop by Gaëtan Laborde (1-0, 54th) against Brest was enough to delight the Aiglons who have a sixth match without defeat in all competitions.
In Reims, Nantes, reduced to 10 after the expulsion of Nicolas Pallois, gave in in the last minutes on a penalty from Balogun (1-0, 82nd). In the other meeting of the afternoon, Clermont will be able to regret his two missed penalties against Montpellier (1-1).
Belaïli brings a wind of madness to Ajaccio
Everything changed at the end of the first period, Saturday evening at the François-Coty stadium. Led 0-2 at home by Strasbourg, after a superb free-kick from Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and a subtle lobed ball from Kevin Gameiro, the ACA overturned everything in the space of 15 minutes. In the 33rd minute, Youcef Belaïli converted a penalty (1-2, 33rd), a minute before Mounaïm El Idrissy equalized on a pivot shot (2-2, 34th).
Five minutes later, Belaïli came to deceive Matz Sels again from the penalty spot (3-2, 39th) before delivering an assist for Nouri just before the break (4-2, 45th + 3). Man of the match, the Algerian even had the luxury of missing a third penalty in the second period. The Corsican club signed their first success of the season at home and won their first match in the top flight against Strasbourg since… 1971. A nice double blow.
