Inconstant and disappointing since the start of the season, Nice and Monaco played a fairly choppy match, finally won by the players from the Principality (0-1) on Sunday evening.

After two draws and two defeats in the league, Monaco finally found the way to success, Sunday September 4, in Nice (0-1). In a Riviera derby marked by a lot of technical waste, each team had the opportunity to open the scoring, but it was ultimately the players from the Principality who shook the net thanks to Breel Embolo (69th). On the Nice side, the offensive triplet made up of Nicolas Pépé, Andy Delort and Gaëtan Laborde struggled to be dangerous.

The Gym therefore fails to chain a second victory after its success in Lille on Wednesday, and has only five points in six days. Not enough to reassure the Aiglons before their entry into the running in the Europa League Conference, Thursday, with the reception of Cologne. The Monegasques achieve their first “clean sheet” of the season before moving to Belgrade in the Europa League, also on Thursday.
