Mohamed Amra’s escape: progress in the investigation
(France 2)

Mohamed Amra has been on the run for six weeks after his spectacular escape.

Six weeks that Mohamed Amra became the most wanted man in France after his escape. Two scenarios are favored by investigators. The first is to know if he was helped by accomplices, he who passed under all the radars, he who surrounded himself very quickly with an armed team who could have mounted an attack on his prison van.

Another hypothesis: Did Mohamed Amra have enemies? Had he gone too far? The question of kidnapping by a rival gang is a lead that investigators are not neglecting. Thanks to wiretapping in his cell, the police realized that the prisoner was managing his affairs despite his imprisonment. According to the Paris prosecutor, more than 200 police officers and gendarmes are following the case closely and are continuing to explore serious leads.
