Make your arrangements if you wish to access the city center of Quimper by car from July 18th. Traffic will be modified until July 26 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Cornouaille festival invests the city from July 21 to 24.
From July 18 to 26, “access to the city center will be closed for motorized vehicles from the Frugy roundabout, explains the town hall in a press release. A diversion will be put in place via the Poulguinan bridge, in order to reach the city center by the road to Douarnenez and the car parks.” On the other hand, the city center – Locmaria will remain accessible to all.
Detours and relay car parks
For those arriving in Quimper from Pays Bigouden by the Transbigoudène, a diversion will be offered by the RD56 (airport) allowing you to reach Quimper from the North. Once there, the city car parks will be open throughout this period, and three relay car parks will be set up in the north (“Croix des guardians”), south (university car park) and west (parking near the Kerlan Vihan swimming pool). A bus line will allow you to reach the city center.
