This time, it was the Portland Timbers who defeated the Georgia team, winning 2-1.

The Atlanta club has never won two games in a row since the start of the season. In the duel of the day, he certainly did not help his cause by awarding two “penalties”.

Santiago Moreno scored the first in the 38th minute, then Dairon Asprilla stopped the visitors from believing it by easily threading the needle in the 82nd minute.

Atlanta United star Josef Martinez added his two cents in the 88th minute by redirecting a header from a corner kick, but it was too little, too late.

The losers are five points behind FC Cincinnati and the last berth giving access to the post-season tournament in the East.
