(Magog) The search for a teenage girl who has been mysteriously missing since last Saturday afternoon in Estrie is due to resume on Tuesday.
Coralie Lessard, 15 years old, left her family residence in the Omerville sector, in Magog, on foot around 4 p.m. and did not return home afterwards.
In various interviews with news media, her mother said she was in a good mood when she left the house and there was nothing to suggest that she was running away. Annie Lessard also said that her daughter frequently took walks near a bike path leading to Sherbrooke, further east.
Moreover, hunters claim that they saw the teenager in this area about an hour after she left the house.
The Régie de police Memphrémagog says it has reason to believe that Coralie Lessard could be in danger. She asks the residents of Omerville to inspect their land and their outbuildings to ensure that the young girl has not taken refuge there.
On the other hand, various police and civilian resources are at work to find the location.
Coralie Lessard is 1.58 meters tall, weighs around 45 kg, has blue eyes and long, brown / blonde hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black quilted coat, a black hoodie, black “legging” style pants and she was wearing black booties.
She also had a headlamp.
Anyone with information on the possible movements of Coralie Lessard is requested to immediately contact the Régie de police Memphrémagog.
