On Sunday October 17, 2021 the election took place Miss Picardy 2021 at the Élispace de Beauvais. They were fifteen to claim the title that Tara de Mets won last year and it is finally Hayate El Gharmaoui who was crowned. At 21, she is a third year student in Sport Business. This is the second time that Hayate El Gharmoui participates in the beauty contest after having received the advice of a Miss France from Picardy, namely Elodie Gossuin. The latter indeed convinced her to register after meeting him for the election of the Queen of Muguet in 2019.
“I don’t quite realize but it’s a huge pride, said Hayate El Gharmaoui, contacted by the Parisian after his victory. I’ll give it my all. It is no longer my personal adventure, it is that of an entire region.“
Hayate El Gharmaoui now wishes to expand her story nationally by winning the Miss France 2022 contest. For this, she intends to raise awareness by evoking her commitments, she who is a volunteer firefighter as well as a municipal councilor in Compiègne. Indeed, the pretty brunette has accepted since last year to be delegated to actions towards the youth of priority neighborhoods. She is the youngest on the board but she is already showing a lot of potential and ambition. It was the mayor of his city, Philippe Marini (Les Républicains), who trusted him for this task after his humanitarian trip to Senegal. “I first participated in various associative actions before committing myself last year. I take care of all that is social and charitable actions with 13-19 year olds“, she clarified for our colleagues.
