The organization revealed the news on Thursday, when the player in question has been absent since March 2, having already missed three games.

Only 22 years old, Heiskanen is the most used defenseman for the Stars with an average approaching 25 minutes per game. This season, he has 29 points, including four goals, in 52 games.

The Stars’ next game is scheduled for Saturday in Dallas against the New York Rangers. The Texan team must also face the Canadiens soon, in Montreal, on Thursday, March 17.
