Miracle, the Blackhawks beat the Bruins

Many thought that the Boston Bruins’ task against the Chicago Blackhawks would be easy, but it was rather the underdogs who got the better of the powerful “Oursons” by winning 6-3 on Tuesday night at the United Center.

This duel was like David against Goliath, the Bruins being at the top of the National League with 105 points and 50 wins. The poor “Hawks”, they do not even have half the harvest of their opponents of the day with 23 wins and 52 points this season.

Chicago had quite the third period, scoring four goals. The hero was Taylor Raddysh, who, with a hat trick, gave the victory to his team. The former Tampa Bay Lightning completed his hat-trick in an empty net, making the crowd explode with joy. Boris Katchouk also picked up three points in the win.

The only downside on the Blackhawks side: goalkeeper Petr Mrazek was forced to leave the game due to injury. The Czech had been perfect on 16 shots in 28 min 48 s of play. As a replacement, Alex Stalock blocked 23 of the Bruins’ 26 shots.

Boston seemed to have a date with history, having the opportunity to break the Montreal Canadiens’ record of 132 points, but the three losses in four games may thwart the plans. This is the first time this season that the Bruins have suffered two losses in a row in regulation time.
