“[Mercredi], at the end of the day, I too began to experience COVID-related symptoms. My test came back positive. I will therefore isolate myself for the next few days and work remotely, as recommended by Public Health. Let’s continue to be careful. We will get there!”, declared Mathieu Lacombe on Twitter, early Thursday morning.
The minister joins the list of nine other Quebec elected officials who have tested positive for the virus in the past week.
The number of cases is accumulating in particular at the Coalition Avenir Québec, since the Premier of Québec, François Legault, and the Deputy Premier, Geneviève Guilbault, both contracted COVID-19 within a week of interval.
Just like the Minister of Transport François Bonnardel, as well as Mario Asselin, Stéphanie Lachance, Lise Lavallée and Sébastien Schneeberger, all of the CAQ. Liberal MP Christine St-Pierre and solidarity Émilise Lessard-Therrien were also infected.
