Catherine Vautrin, Minister of Labor, Health and Solidarity, pleads Friday May 31 on France Inter for a “zero tolerance” in terms of gender-based and sexual violence in hospitals. The Minister Delegate Frédéric Valletoux announced this Friday new measures to combat this violence, in particular the strengthening of the training of health professionals and the improvement of support for victims.

For Minister Catherine Vautrin, these measures allow “to organize things so that we can condemn”. Catherine Vautrin welcomes the fact that “what is put in place” can allow “to work with the courts so that speech is heard in good conditions”. She hopes that thanks to these announcements “no one hesitates to go” bear witness. The minister also returns to the wave of testimonies published on social networks under the hashtag #Metoohospital. Catherine Vautrin is keen to “thank those who have the courage to speak” and recognizes that “It’s courageous to go and explain what we may have suffered, especially in a hierarchical context, which makes things even more difficult”. “Don’t accept anything and report it!”she says.
