Millennials more likely to spend on plane tickets despite inflation

The rising cost of living is causing Canadians to review their spending priorities, but that doesn’t mean they are abandoning all travel plans, especially among millennials, according to a recent study.

Indeed, millennials are the generation that spends the most money on plane tickets, according to FlightHub data collected since the beginning of November.

They would spend on average 1433.29% per single purchase in order to fly to another destination.

Conversely, baby boomers limit themselves a little more by spending an average of $1,187.14 per purchase.

Generations X and Z fall in the middle, recording expenses of $1,362.17 and $1,305.01, respectively.

If differences are therefore noted in cost, the fact remains that all generations have the same preferred destinations of choice, namely the United States then Canada.

India finds itself in third place in the ranking for all generations combined. European countries such as Germany, France and Spain are also privileged.
