Steps

The huts will have a positive interest for children if you decide to take them with you.

  • From the plateau car park, head towards the village ofAngaka then follow the GR®10 on the track. Leave the track on the right which leads to the cabin ofArtaran (you will return by this route). Stay constantly on the track and reach a junction.
  • Continue opposite on the GR®10 and reach the Beille hut from above.
  • After a well-deserved break, continue on the track (still on the GR®10) and reach an intersection.
  • Abandon the GR®10 by taking the path that goes to the right (yellow markings). The first meters of the descent are on the stream before gradually moving away from it following the marked path on the right. Reach an intersection and turn left. About ten meters later, the yellow markup on a rock tells you to turn right (PLEASE NOTE THIS PART IS LIMITED TO THE LEVEL OF LAYOUT AND MARKINGS). You come to an intersection.
  • Make a detour of about ten meters by taking the opposite in order to reach theOrri de Toudous to enjoy the panorama while taking a short break. Return to the intersection mentioned then take the path (slightly visible) on the left. You will walk in the forest a little further with still incredible panoramas.
  • Reach a complex intersection, indeed, the marked route goes to the right but stay on the path in front despite the cross.
Further, you come out of the forest, stay on the path and reach springs
  • At the level of the last source, abandon the path by taking a 90° left with a view of the hut of‘Artaran. Admittedly, this is off-trail, but don’t worry, just follow the direction of the hut straight until you reach it.
  • Retrieve the GR®10 and take the track that goes to the right. Go past the small waterfall and go up a little to reach the village ofAngaka and end your hike.
