The Quebecer defeated the Japanese Ikuma Horishima in the final and thus got his hands on his second gold medal of the current World Cup season. It was also his 67th victory and his 95th career medal on this stage.
It was the Swede Ludvig Fjallatrom who completed the podium.
On Saturday Kingsbury was eighth and missed the super-final. This is an extremely rare event in the career of the 29-year-old athlete.
