Stanislas Guerini, deputy for Paris and general delegate of La République en Marche, was the guest of “8:30 am franceinfo “, Sunday 28 November 2021. Migration crisis, Hulot affair, launch of the “Together citizens!” movement … He answers the questions of Ersin Leibowitch and Jean-Jérôme Bertolus.

Franco-British crisis on migrants: “France must call on Frontex more”

“France must call on Frontex more to increase its resources and be helped in managing the situation on the border with Great Britain”, suggests Stanislas Guerini, while a European meeting is being held in Calais (Pas-de-Calais) this Sunday, November 29, to strengthen “the fight against illegal immigration and smuggling networks”, in the presence of the European criminal police agencies Europol and Frontex borders and several ministers responsible for immigration.

“We have to find solutions” in the migratory conflict between Paris and London, and this notably involves “more pooling of European resources” via Frontex, but also “increase the means” of the European border agency, estimates the general delegate of LREM.

Hulot case: a situation “a little different in 2018”

After the broadcast of Special Envoy where several women speak to accuse the former Minister of Ecological Transition, will the government apologize for having supported Nicolas Hulot in 2018? “There is a situation which was a little different” at the time, declares Stanislas Guerini, when a complaint for rape had been filed against the minister. “There was a testimony from a person who did not want his identity revealed”, advances the general delegate of LREM.

“I hope that we can systematically ensure that justice takes up these cases. It is possible, we have been able to go back even in somewhat complicated prescription situations”, assures Stanislas Guerini.

Movement “Together citizens!” : no merger between LREM and the MoDem

The new political movement “Together citizens!” bringing together all the components of the presidential majority supporting Emmanuel Macron will be officially launched this Monday, November 29 with a meeting at the Maison de la Mutualité in Paris. However, this does not mean a merger of its two main components, LREM and Modem, recalls Stanislas Guerini: “This is not what we have planned today. This space there, it is made so that each political formation can keep its specificity.”

“I consider that with the Modem there is a lot of convergence of views and therefore working in a very tight, very integrated way suits me well”, adds the general delegate of LREM.
