In the United States, an illegal immigrant survived a three-hour flight, hidden in an undercarriage. The plane was going from Guatemala to Miami.
It is a journey that seems unreal. So much so that the man is haggard, but alive. Stunned, he fell on the tarmac. “He survived, he survived!”, wonder the employees of the airport, who cannot believe it. Few of the illegals survive the trip. Hidden in that tiny space in the plane’s landing gear, the man was subjected to extreme temperatures for three hours.
Between Guatemala and the city of Miami in Florida (United States), he could have died of hypothermia, lack of oxygen or fall from the plane when it was taking out its wheels. With incredible luck, this illegal immigrant made it out alive. Arrested by border guards, the 26-year-old was taken to hospital for a medical examination. In the United States since 1947, at least 129 people in hiding have been found hiding in commercial planes, only 29 have survived.
