Michelle-Rossignol Fund | Twelve artists selected

The Center du Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui revealed on Wednesday the names of twelve recipient artists of the Michelle-Rossignol Fund 2022-2023. Together, they will share scholarships of varying amounts with a total value of $100,000.

The creators selected this year have distinguished themselves thanks to “projects that promote the values ​​of equity, social justice or cultural diversity”.

The artists selected are Tatiana Zinga Botao, Alexis Diamond and Marie Louise Bibish Mumbu for Nzinga, Camille Paré-Poirier for I will come less oftenChloé Barshee, Jade Barshee and Véro Lachance for last frontier, Marie-Ève ​​Milot and Marie-Claude St-Laurent for ClandestinesOlivier Arteau for Piss standing up without lifting her skirt, Audrey Talbot for Titan Body (survival title), as well as Iannicko N’Doua.

The Michelle-Rossignol Fund was created in May 2020 following a historic donation of $1.4 million from Jacques Desmarais, spouse of Michelle Rossignol. Director of the Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui for many years, she passed away on May 18, 2020.
