Fashion Week starts this Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Paris. For just under a week, a multitude of luxury brands will present their Spring/Summer 2024 collections… dedicated to Men. And if the Louis Vuitton house closes fashion week when it is dedicated to women’s fashion, conversely it opens the ball for men. And the parade this Tuesday, June 20, 2023 is eagerly awaited because it is the first time that Pharrell Williams, newly appointed artistic director of the “Men’s” branch of the famous French fashion house, presents his work.
The singer-turned-stylist thus saw things on a grand scale since the fashion show will take place on the Pont Neuf, in Paris, from 9.30 p.m., in front of an audience of prestigious guests. “This is the first time that there will be such an event on this monument so symbolic for Paris and for the brand” declared Pharrell Williams in the columns of Figaro. We therefore note that traffic will be interrupted on the quays from Place de la Concorde to the place of the show from the middle of the afternoon until the end of the show.
Visionary and always fair, Pharrell Williams assures us that this Tuesday’s show is an “event to experience” and that the guests “may be surprised, even shocked”. Amused, he specifies: “The experience, for those who will be physically present as for those who will watch it in streaming, is the most important.”
Among the distinguished guests: Michelle and Barack Obama who are expected, most certainly in the front row, to attend this parade which already promises to be grandiose. Since the end of Barack Obama’s mandate, the couple has traveled the world to participate in conferences, events related to culture or social events.
