(Montreal) A man wanted by Montreal police for kidnapping, forcible confinement and armed assault has been arrested.
Michel Lecavalier, a 48-year-old man, was arrested by Sûreté du Québec (SQ) police officers in recent hours, elsewhere in the province.
This is what the Sexual Assault Section of the City of Montreal Police Service (SPVM) indicated in a press release Sunday morning.
The SPVM launched an appeal to the population on January 3 to help them catch this individual who speaks in French.
Rewards of up to $3,000 given by Info-Crime Montréal were even announced for information leading to the arrest of the suspect, under certain conditions.
