Michel Drucker was contacted by telephone by a pseudo bank agent who then introduced himself as “bank fraud officer” BNP Paribas, where the septuagenarian has his accounts. The latter, who announces the urgency in the conversation, tells him to be worried about a “fraudulent transaction in the amount of 10,000 euros“ on his account. This operation would have been done”to Ivory Coast“.
Faced with this fake banker, Michel Drucker gave in. The scammer thus reveals to him how to cancel this supposed fraudulent operation: it suffices to make two remote transfers, one of 7500 euros and the other of 2500 euros. This emblematic figure of the French audiovisual landscape accepts. The money goes… and never comes back. At least, for now. Because when he hung up with the scammer, Michel Drucker realized he had been the victim of a scam. Without further ado, he made the decision to file a complaint. Certainly rang, he could not alert the police himself. It is, still according to our colleagues from Parisian, the star’s butler who pushed the door of the police station in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.
