Michel Drucker is offered one of Johnny Hallyday’s motorcycles… but categorically refuses this gift

At 81, Michel Drucker still hasn’t decided to retire. In addition to continuing to host his show Looking forward to Sunday, the 81-year-old host also walks the sets of other television shows. This Tuesday, January 2, 2024, it is on that of C to you that it was thus expected. The show presented by Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine and broadcast on France 5 returned with great fanfare after new rumors of the departure of its flagship presenter.

Upon arrival, Michel Drucker spoke of his missing friend, the singer Johnny Hallyday who died in December 2017. Always ready to tell great anecdotes, the host thus made a confession. “We were in Ramatuelle, we had dinner with France Gall at his place, in his beautiful house, and then I went to bed because we were leaving the next day […]. And he says to me, ‘I never gave you a gift. So come on, let’s go to the garage. He lifted a cover: a Harley Davidson, coming directly from Los Angeles, A collector’s item!”he remembered, assuring that the rocker wanted to offer him this sumptuous motorcycle.

Although very close, Michel Drucker refused the precious present explaining that at his age, he couldn’t see himself roaming the streets of Paris with such a rock’n’roll motorcycle. Amused, Johnny Hallyday then said to him: “It’ll give you a youthful look!” And Michel Drucker shows wisdom: “But Johnny I can’t, I’m going to go to the hospital.” Rocker until the end of his days, Johnny Hallyday then replied: “You hurt me a lot.”

Anyone who has undergone two major operations recently remembers that Laeticia Hallyday’s husband tried to give her another gift that is still just as impressive. “So he lifts another cover, and he offers me a Porsche… It was Johnny” remembered Michel Drucker with emotion. Enough to surprise Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine who then reacted by declaring with humor: “Well, we choose our friends badly!”.
