Michel Drucker gives news after his heart operation

“Those who thought I was dead will still have to wait!”, joked Michel Drucker Thursday, June 1, in his first public message since his heart problems and his operation. The famous 80-year-old television host gave viewers a date “in September”. “I’m in great shape, or almost”he added, visibly emaciated and with slowed speech, in a short video message published on Instagram.

“Thank you for your testimonials, it touched me a lot, see you in September, on the set of Studio Gabriel, on my sofa”he concluded.

His weekly show, “Vivement dimanche”, is shot at the Gabriel studio (on avenue Gabriel in Paris), which was also the name of one of his previous shows in the 1990s. Three years after a first major heart operation , Michel Drucker had been hospitalized for tests at the beginning of February, which had led to the interruption of his emission. While he was originally supposed to make his return in April, he had another operation at the end of March.
