Michel Côté will become a Knight of the National Order of Quebec posthumously

The CAQ government will soon honor the memory of comedian Michel Côté, who died Monday at the age of 72.

He will be decorated with the rank of Knight of the National Order of Quebec posthumously on June 21.

Prime Minister François Legault confirmed this Tuesday in a press scrum at the National Assembly.

He added that the government was in discussion with the family for other ways to commemorate his contribution to Quebec culture.

Born in 1950 in Alma, in the region then known as Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Michel Côté had a long career in theater and film.

He notably acted in the play brew more than 3300 times for 38 years. His extensive filmography includes films Cruising Bar And CRAZY.
