Michel Côté will be made Knight of the National Order posthumously





Comedian Michel Côté, who died on Monday, will be made a Knight of the National Order of Quebec, posthumously.


Prime Minister François Legault made the announcement Tuesday during a press briefing at the National Assembly.

He had already indicated on Monday, when the actor’s death was announced, that he was preparing to present him with this high distinction. The honor will ultimately be awarded to him posthumously.

Michel Côté, who suffered from a bone marrow disease, died at the age of 72. Actor adored by Quebecers, he was particularly famous for his roles in films CRAZY, Cruising Bar Or From father to cop.
