A list of 38 names is being considered. On Thursday, Michel Barnier was considering proposing a government of 38 ministers, France Télévisions learned from a participant in the meeting. The 16 full ministers were all from the centre and the right, except for one from the various left, and included Sébastien Lecornu in the Armed Forces, Catherine Vautrin in the Territories, Rachida Dati in Culture, Bruno Retailleau in the Interior and Annie Genevard in Agriculture, again according to information obtained by France Télévisions.
Demonstrations announced in several major cities. The Ecologists and LFI were to join demonstrations organized by associations, student, environmental and feminist organizations against the Macron-Barnier tandem. Marches are for example expected at 10:30 am in Caen, 11 am in Bordeaux, and 2 pm in Paris Bastille, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse.
