Michel Barnier to announce his government
Two weeks after his appointment, Michel Barnier is preparing to present to the French the composition of his government, which should have 38 members, despite initial controversies over the very right-wing positioning of certain ministers.
For Matignon, the list of ministers “respects political balances”
The Barnier government should include 38 members, including 16 full ministers, among them seven Macronists and three Republicans (LR), two MoDem, one Horizons and one from the centrist UDI party.
Among the three ministers from the right is Bruno Retailleau, the leader of the LR senators, who should be appointed to the Ministry of the Interior, several sources from the right and the central bloc have indicated.
