Prime Minister Michel Barnier has reframed “clearly and firmly” his Minister of Economy Antoine Armand, Franceinfo learned on Tuesday, September 24 from Matignon. A reframing that comes after comments made by the minister on France Inter who considered that the National Rally did not belong to “the republican arc”.
Michel Barnier reminded his minister “the rules and commitments” of the new government, in particular the “respect for voters” and the “respect for the presidents of groups represented in Parliament” which the Prime Minister will receive in the coming days and weeks.
“The economic and financial situation of France requires broad consultation among the nation’s elected representatives“, Bercy said in a press release. “In line with the political line set by the Prime Minister, Antoine Armand […] will receive all political forces represented in Parliament”continued the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry.
