“More than 100 victims” accuse star P. Diddy of sexual assault

Lawyer Tony Buzbee, representing over 100 alleged victims, announced that he will file a lawsuit against the American rapper P. Diddy in court. “This is a significant case that we plan to pursue with great determination,” stated the Texas-based attorney in a press release issued on Tuesday, October 1. He called on the music and entertainment community for assistance: “If you have been a victim or a witness to this abhorrent behavior, please step forward.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs, a prominent figure in the hip-hop industry, has faced numerous allegations, with around ten accusations of rape or sexual assault emerging over the past few months. He was taken into custody on September 16 at a Manhattan hotel and remains in pre-trial detention. He entered a plea of not guilty to charges related to trafficking for sexual exploitation and extortion.

Federal prosecutor Damian Williams described a system characterized by “violence” that compelled women into “prolonged sexual relationships with sex workers.” Williams mentioned that he has “recorded” incidents in which the victims were under the influence of substances like ecstasy, GHB (often referred to as the date rape drug), or ketamine. The indictment alleges that the rapper utilized his staff and the resources of his extensive business empire to establish a criminal organization, involved in sexual trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, and obstruction of justice.
