Michel Amico, historic former president of the JDA Dijon Handball, has died

It is a pioneer of women’s handball in the region that is disappearing. Michael Amico is dead Tuesday, May 10 at his home in Saint-Julien, announces the JDA Dijon Handball club on its Facebook page. He had founded the Cercle Dijon Bourgogne (CDB), ancestor of the JDA Dijon Handball, in 1996. He remained at its head until 2014.

A personal investment

“Michel notably participated in the development of Dijon women’s handball with the creation of the CDB in 1996 and its professional structure a few years later”, recalls the club. “This man, with a big heart, almost unknown among the leaders of local handball, had dared to take up this great challenge. He knew how to stimulate human relations specific to our club, which do him honor and respect.”
