The Ottawa cyclist chose to skip the important meeting for various reasons. Which explains why his name is not on the roster of 20 athletes announced earlier this week by Cycling Canada.
“It had already been a few months since my decision was made. I made my choice once I learned that this trip was self-funded by the cyclists themselves. The fact that my professional team needs points in the world rankings also weighed heavily in the balance,” Woods told the Right.
