(Miami) American rapper Travis Scott was arrested early Thursday in Miami Beach, Florida, for disturbing the peace while he was drunk, according to the report of his arrest.
The 33-year-old singer, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, was arrested at 1:17 a.m.
According to the police report, Travis Scott was shouting at the occupants of a yacht in the port of Miami Beach. Alerted, the police went to the scene and asked him several times to leave.
After leaving the port, Travis Scott returned five minutes later and began yelling at the boat’s occupants again. When arrested, the rapper admitted that he had drunk alcohol and justified himself by saying “it’s Miami,” according to the police report.
Travis Scott made himself known with his first album, Rodeoin 2015. Since then, the Houston native has become a figure in American rap and has released four other albums, including the successful Astroworld (2018).
He has a boy and a girl with his ex-partner, the American influencer Kylie Jenner.
