(Toronto) Dane Myers homered en route to a career-high five RBIs on Saturday, helping the Miami Marlins win 8-1 over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Myers hit a three-run homer and a two-run double.
Back among active players since Tuesday, the outfielder fractured his left ankle on July 13 when he kicked a door in a gesture of frustration on July 13.
He had just been sent off in what was a 10-6 loss in Cincinnati.
“I’m so happy for him after what he’s been through the last two months,” Marlins bench coach Luis Urueta said.
“It was hard to stay in the hotel while the guys were playing,” Myers said. The mental rehabilitation was a little harder than the physical one. »
Griffin Conine had three of 11 hits for the Marlins, who have won their last three games.
Nathan Lukes hit the first home run of his career for the Blue Jays.

Vladimir Guerrero remained one hit away from 200 this season. It’s the most hits by a Jays player since Vernon Wells’ 215 in 2003.
Yariel Rodriguez (1-8) started the game by conceding walks to Xavier Edwards and Jesus Sanchez and he regretted it since the two players subsequently came to score on a single from Jonah Bridge and a double from Conine , respectively.
Rodriguez allowed three runs on four hits and two walks in five innings.
Xzavion Curry (2-2) allowed one run, two hits and a walk in five innings.
Darren McCaughan pitched the final four innings, getting his second save.
