The composer and violinist Régis Huby has known several musical lives, he has gone through classical, jazz and improvised music. He’s a musician who doesn’t like musical compartmentalization, that’s why he wandered through different aesthetics but always favoring improvisation.
For this concert at the Théâtre de Caen, his usual ensemble of 15 musicians will be associated with the 17 instrumentalists of the Orchester Régional de Normandie. We will therefore witness the meeting of 2 substantial entities, which is rare in the world of jazz, where we are often used to the quarter or quintet.
