January 12, 2024 on the set of Good morning !Bruce Toussaint’s morning news on TF1, Messmer revealed the strange story behind the first name of his offspring. And more specifically why he named one of his daughters, “Sun”.
It was in 2017 that the latter was born before her little sister came into the world in 2020. Unforgettable years for the hypnotist, to which Bruce Toussaint therefore wanted to return. The journalist first expressed his admiration for the choice of first names: “Sun and Magic, the first names of your two daughters, it’s magnificent”he said to his guest, stars in his eyes.

Signs pushed Messmer to choose this first name
The main person obviously agreed with the presenter’s compliments, but above all took advantage of his arrival to reveal the origin of this choice. “At the beginning, when my wife had the idea of calling our daughter Soleil, I didn’t agree”he admitted before offering: “Perhaps Marie-Soleil? A name made up of Soleil?”. Unfortunately for him, his partner wanted “Sun” and nothing else : “Sun, it’s going to be good!”.
“Oh I’m not sure.”still tried again Messmer before having an illumination: “And one morning, we leave the house and we see a sunflower that grew during the night. We call it a sun flower. Perhaps a sign…” But the signs are not confined to a simple sunflower. Indeed, on the day of delivery, “it was raining”. “I tell my wife that I’m hungry and that I’m going to get a pizza. I arrive at the pizzeria, the seller gives me the pizza and gives me cutlery. “You’re going to have a nice picnic there, you’re definitely not going to eat out,’ he told me. I tell him ‘listen the sun will come soon’. ‘But the sun will always be there for you’, he answered me. I go out, and I swear, I have a ray of sunshine appearing in my parking space, and it was the only ray that was there!” An incredible anecdote that left Bruce Toussaint, Christophe Beaugrand, and the rest of the morning teams speechless.
