I recently read that the concept of reception capacity does not mean much when we talk about immigration.

Above all, it would serve to “theoretically” channel the host society’s concern about difference – or more precisely, it would serve to rationalize a form of insurmountable xenophobia in Western societies.
Strange denial.
The capacity of social and hospital services to accommodate migratory waves? It does not count.

Ideology
The capacity of schools to integrate these new populations? It does not count.
The ability of the host society to maintain its language, culture and way of life? It still doesn’t count. Apparently, it would even be odious to take it into account.
Immigrationists have therefore moved in a few years from one discourse to another.
First, they explained that our reception capacity was considerable. They were wrong, but wanted us to believe it.
Now that it is no longer possible to shove this technocratic nonsense down our throats, and that it is obvious that our society is destabilized everywhere by migratory pressure, we decree that the concept of reception capacity means nothing . We seek to prohibit reflection.
We do the same when we want to prohibit taking seriously the often insurmountable distance between different cultures, and even more so, between different civilizations, which makes integration almost impossible.

Tensions
Cultural tensions are nevertheless real, as we see in schools where what we could call a very present homophobia in certain communities is expressed, as we know without daring to say it, and a sexism which is hidden behind the call for respect for religious traditions.
We have imported the clash of civilizations onto our territory. Or at least we let it settle.
For a long time, it was forbidden to note these observations, even discreetly.
This is no longer exactly the case. Reality shatters ideologies and regains its rights.
