Merry Go Round, a very rock…abilly trio!

Merry Go Round is a trio from Niort made up of fans of American music from the 50s and 60s: Damien Pineau, Richard Neil Harrison and Gaël Aguillon.

This group based in Niort, was created on the initiative of Damien. Initially on a country and blues repertoire, it evolves over time to focus on rockabilly.

For them, rockabilly is a culture, an art of living. It has a little vintage side to it but it’s unquestionably the bases and the foundations of current music. It’s a kind of pre-history of rock’nroll. Rockabilly has a timeless style and a very important energy.

“Merry Go round” does not seek to reproduce a sound faithful to the 50s and 60s but rather to adapt the covers with a little modern dynamism.

The essentials for them: Elvis Prestley, the Stray Cats and Brian Setzer
