(Montreal) Two people are in hospital after being shot in the borough of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve late Monday evening.
The police were called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. after gunshots were heard on Lapointe Boulevard.
At the corner of Avenue Grosbois, they located two people hit by bullets who were immediately transported to a hospital. Their condition was still unknown at the time of publishing these lines, the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) said on Monday.
A police investigation has begun to clarify this case, which is being treated as attempted murder. A perimeter has been set up on Lapointe Boulevard to allow the police to do their job.
