Shots were fired at the end of the day Monday in the parking lot of an arena in the borough of Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve in Montreal.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Clément-Jetté arena on Dubuisson Avenue.
According to initial information, an altercation between a group of people ended in gunfire, said spokeswoman for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Véronique Comtois.
There are no injuries. Casings were found on the ground.
A perimeter was drawn up around the scene and investigators went to try to clarify the circumstances of the event.
