Mercedes-Benz EQS: the first electric Mercedes arrives in Quebec

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS is now arriving at dealerships across the country.

As of January 20, every Mercedes-Benz dealership in Canada began receiving its first batch of the EQS.

This first all-electric model to be marketed here by Mercedes starts at $144,200. It is therefore a luxury vehicle reserved for wealthy customers. It’s far from affordable, but Mercedes-Benz says it’s just $1,300 more than the combustion-powered S-Class sedan.

In Canada, only the EQS 580 4MATIC version is currently offered. It is equipped with a 107.8 kWh battery, allowing a range of 547 kilometers. The power of 516 horsepower also promises lightning acceleration, despite the heavy weight of the vehicle.

In terms of charging, the EQS is compatible with terminals of up to 200 kW. With such a terminal, the sedan could gain 300 kilometers of autonomy in just 15 minutes.
