Mélissa Lavergne will leave Beautiful and BumTélé-Québec’s flagship program that she has co-hosted with Normand Brathwaite for several seasons, to devote herself to personal projects.
The musician and percussionist made the announcement on a Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
“This Saturday, it’s a very special show that I shot with the big family of Beautiful and Bum. Touching and meaningful. While the collaborators of the past 20 years were gathered on the set, I announced that the time had come for me to bow out. Indeed, after more than 400 broadcasts shot to shine the projects of hundreds of artists from everywhere, first as a musician, then as a co-host, I now look forward to investing time in making the music that I have in me. The projects that I have in me. »
The music show Beautiful and Bum has been broadcast on Télé-Québec since 2003. Previously, Geneviève Borne, Sophie Durocher, Roxanne Saint-Gelais and Claudine Prévost also co-hosted with Normand Brathwaite.
