(New York) Former first lady Melania Trump will publish her memoir this fall, a book simply titled Melaniabilled by her office as “the powerful and inspiring story of a woman who forged her own path, overcame adversity and defined personal excellence.”
This is M’s first memoirme Trump, who has been largely absent as her husband, former President Donald Trump, seeks a return to the White House.
The publishing house of Melania is Skyhorse Publishing, which has published books by several Donald Trump supporters, such as former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and lawyer Alan Dershowitz. Skyhorse has also worked with independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Mr. Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, who later became one of his harshest critics. Some of Skyhorse’s books include forewords by Mr. Trump ally Steve Bannon.
Melania Trump’s book was announced Thursday by her office, which did not provide a specific publication date or say whether it would be released before Election Day in November.me Trump has been the subject of other books, including one by former adviser Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, but she has never told her own story in detail before.
The former first lady “invites readers into her world, offering an intimate portrait of a woman who lived an extraordinary life,” the announcement reads in part.
” Melania includes personal stories and family photos that she has never shared with the public.”
A spokeswoman said no information was available beyond what was included in the statement, which made no reference to financial terms, promotional plans or whether she had worked with a co-writer.
Melania Trump, Donald Trump’s third wife, has been an enigmatic figure since her husband announced his candidacy for the 2016 election. She has sought to maintain her privacy even while serving as first lady, focusing on raising their son, Barron, and promoting her “Be Best” initiative to support “the social, emotional and physical health of children.”
Although she appeared at her husband’s 2024 campaign kickoff event and attended the closing night of last week’s Republican National Convention, she has otherwise stayed off the campaign trail. Her decision not to deliver a speech at this year’s convention marked a break from tradition regarding candidates’ spouses and from Republican rallies in 2016 and 2020.
According to her office, the memoir will be available in two versions: a $150 (C$208) “collector’s edition,” featuring 256 pages, “full color throughout, with each copy signed by the author,” and a 304-page “memoir edition,” including 48 pages of previously unpublished photographs. The book costs $40 (C$55) and signed editions retail for $75 (C$102).
